Eat Along the Shore 2015 – Many Thanks to Many Friends

At Eat Along the Shore 2015 coming to a close, marks  one year since we put up our first post.  I think that first review was about St. Stephens Green Publick House in Spring Lake and it had all of 10 views the first week, if that. Since that first post we have seen a slow but steady increase in traffic but that is not what is really important. What is important is that an increasing number of people have enjoyed a dining experience after making their decision based at least partly on what was written here. We have also made some good friends along the way in the businesses that we wrote about. We would like to thank both the readers for being there and the business owners for providing so many great culinary experiences over the past twelve months. You all have made this journey a pleasure.

Some of you have helped us out by sharing what we wrote on your websites and Facebook pages. We are particularly grateful to those whose re-postings helped our growth over the past year. Many others helped us by re-tweeting on Twitter, liking on Instagram and reading our Facebook posts. For that we are also grateful.

In the upcoming year we are looking forward to ramping up the site and making improvements.  Much has been learned through trial and error this past year. We even got knocked off line but we recovered. We have countless restaurants and other businesses and individuals to visit and hopefully they will all provide an experience worth passing forward. You will continue to read only positive reviews as we adhere strictly to our mission.  We visited only a few last year that provided a less than a positive experience so in keeping with our policy we just moved on to the next. We do not like it when that happens because everyone misses out.

As I reminisce about our first year online, ambrosial visions dance through my head. Fortunately I have real pictures of them too.
